About us

Stretching , all the way from Evesham in the north to Berkely in the South, our group is focused on the unique context of the Severn Vale. Currently, we have 35 farms totally up to 6000 ha, and our membership is constantly growing. We have a diverse group, comprising different systems, with their own unique contexts. By bringing together all these different farming businesses, we can begin to pool our collective experience, helping to tackle the problems we all face in this difficult time.

The focus of this group is with the farmers and our direction is shaped by our steering group, and wider membership base. However, the role of facilitator is to provide guidance on some of the more complicated aspects of agri-environment schemes, as well as to help make sense of the complex funding landscape available to farmers, and of course general admin and organisation of events.

Sarah Wells brings a great deal of experience to this role, having worked with the Farming and Wildlife Advisor Group (FWAG SW) for 10 years. She has worked with countless landowners, as well as facilitating this group for four years. Her connections, both personally, and with FWAG SW mean we consistently have informative speakers, who are experts in their field such as Gordon Kirk from the British Trust for Ornithology and Emma Rothero from the floodplain meadows partnership.
